You can't go back and change your history.

But you can change how you internalize it.

When somebody says something to you — you give it your own meaning.

Each and every one of us has our own internal translator.

You translate. Interpret. Give meaning to the world.
Based on what you've created and internalized in your brain.

The upper model of the world says —
I am responding to you.
This is my response.
I'm giving meaning to what you say.
I am translating internally what has been said and done.
This is my programming.

And then — how do I adjust it?

So you're not taking what someone says personally.

That's the key.
That's the big difference between the upper model and the lower model.
