Her Brain Linked Danger to Peanuts. Here's How We Changed It.

She was sitting in the chair having a full reaction to peanuts. Peanuts that weren't even there. I told her I was sorry she ate one. And her body responded as if she had.

So we went back. Inside her mind, we found a little girl being babysat by a mean aunt in a wheelchair. An aunt who hurt her, pulled her hair, hit her, and whose breath smelled like peanuts every time it happened. Then another memory, the kitchen, a rolling pin coming toward her, and the end of that rolling pin shaped just like a peanut.

Her brain made the only connection it knew how to make. Peanuts equal danger. Peanuts equal pain. And it held that memory open for decades.

She wasn't allergic to a food. She was still responding to a threat that hadn't existed for years. The body doesn't know the difference between then and now. It knows what the memory told it. And the memory had been on repeat ever since.

We changed it that day. The memory shifted. And so did she.

If your body keeps reacting to something that makes no logical sense, there's almost always a memory behind it. One that made complete sense to a much younger version of you.

This is the work we do in Root Cause Reset. We find the memory. We change what it means. And the body gets a new instruction.
