What You're Calling Resistance Is Actually a Self-Protective SystemI don't believe in resistance.
What most people call resistance, the urge to eat a whole cake, clean the house, pick up a book, check out completely right when the healing work starts getting real, that's not you sabotaging yourself. That's not weakness. That's your brain's self-protective system doing exactly what it was designed to do. When you start getting close to the deep inner stuff, the real scary things the unconscious has been holding, the brain is going to react. It will make you squirm in your seat. It will send you somewhere else entirely. Because it is trying to keep you in alignment with the world it knows. And if that world was built around trauma, staying away from it feels like safety. A panic attack is not resistance. A chemical sensitivity is not resistance. The urge to escape is not resistance. These are the unconscious using its resources to protect you. But here's what I do believe. When you find what you've been calling resistance, when your brain screams "I'm out of here" — that's the jackpot for personal transformation. That's where the real work is. That's the door, not the wall. Instead of labeling yourself as resistant, try saying this: "There's something here my brain is trying to protect me from." That shift alone changes the direction of everything. Root Cause Reset — April 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 2026. Four live Sundays. Three hours each. Lifetime replay access.
