Person A says, "Hey, doc, I'm great. I'm ready for it." Person B says, "Okay, doc, what if it doesn't work? What are we gonna try next?" Person C says, "Okay, whatever. Let's do it." Person A and Person B are adding something to the outcome. Internally, they're doing something. They're both doing exactly the same thing, as a matter of fact. Person A is the placebo group. The nocebo group is actually getting the right drug, the right operation. And then the other says that either it works or it doesn't work. There's no emotional investment involved. Same treatment. Different results.
