That means we only see from our angle of the world. Say you've been picked on and bullied everywhere you go. When you get in a relationship — you're seeing your partner as a part of that thing. You're scared. You don't wanna fight back. You don't wanna stand up for yourself. That's a survival skill. But it's keeping you stuck in the tunnel. Somebody says, "Go do this. It'll save you." And your brain says — "Uh-uh. I'm staying here." No. This is safe. This is my tunnel. This is what I know.
