So if you want to heal yourself — some of the most important things about pain is asking yourself the right questions. Because you're gonna have pain, and it's so weird. I talked to — let's say Susan. She goes, "I got this horrible headache." And I say, "Why do you think you have a headache?" She said, "Well, I don't know. Maybe it's my genes. My mother had headaches, so I just have bad genetics." I said, "Okay." So I asked a little more. I said, "Anything happen recently that would bother you?" She said, "Oh, my stupid husband. I just got off the phone with him." I said, "When did your headache start?" "Oh, just a few minutes ago." So they don't even realize that the headache or the pain has been induced by the emotional experience.
