Do it wrong — you get a red mark. That's a mini trauma. Make great grades — you get a star. Positive trauma. The brain is linking behaviors with events. You learn to ride a bike. You fall off. You hurt yourself. That's a trauma. It's an education. Then you ride all the way across the street. Positive experience. Some people fall off and say — "Screw this bike." Throw it across the bridge. Walk home. Never ride again. Other people say — "No. I need to learn this. It's gonna give me something I want." Little learning segments. The brain builds something from every one of them. Fractions. Little pieces. Put them all together — now you've got panic attacks and anxiety. Or you love art. You love swimming. You love talking to people. These are all mini traumas that built an outcome. To your brain — it's not bad. It's not good. It's just an outcome.
