There is a protective system, a survival system. And the truth is there's love behind that. Now, the weird thing is people throw love around like it's this mushy, gooey feeling that makes you feel good all over. But love is actually staying alive and surviving and keeping me in a place that I like to feel. Love is the sprinkles on the ice cream. It's the good stuff. But we gotta stay alive and we wanna survive. It's all about survive. Like John Lennon said, "All there is is love." Hate is love. Fear is love. Love is love.
